Nothing makes me happier than spending time in a bookstore. It’s always an adventure, browsing the shelves and challenging myself what not to buy as I start lugging around more books than I can possibly carry. While I do appreciate the convenience of online shopping, it does not even begin to compare to physically touching a book. It’s visceral…a feeling I grew up with going to the library every week, spending my entire allowance on books and covering every inch of my apartment with bookshelves. And while Barnes and Noble and Books A Million are terrific literary conglomerates (R.I.P. Borders) …nothing beats an indie bookshop.

I am incredibly proud to say that one month from tonight, December 8th at 7pm,  I’ll be signing The Thirteen Hallows at Vromans. Co-written with the prolific and fairly brilliant Michael Scott, the horror/fantasy is based on the thirteen ancient hallows of Britain. I’d tell you more… but I’d rather do it in person at the signing. I’m absolutely  thrilled to be doing a signing at Vromans because it’s the oldest and largest independent bookstore in Southern California. And I want to support them by having you buy your books from them at my event! It’s a gorgeous… really stunning bookstore, so get there early and browse, shop, enjoy… but at seven o’clock come listen to me ramble on for a bit, read an excerpt and attempt to answer questions.

See you in a month!

Vromans is located at 695 East Colorado Boulevard  Pasadena, CA 91101  – traffic is sometimes challenging… so leave yourself plenty of time to get there.
